Let Sleeping Giants Lie – Day 1

Memories of August 1914

The Memories of August 1914 kicked off with a giant Grandma asleep in St George’s Hall.  The crowds were keen to get a look at the sleeping giant with over 1000 an hour passing through the great hall to take a look.  If the city is this excited about, well, not very much really happening, wait till the giants are on the move.  The event marks the return of the Royal de Luxe team who first bought us the giants in 2012 as part of the Titanic celebrations.  Their commemoration of the outbreak of the First World War and tribute to the Liverpool Pals looks set to excite the city even more.
